Made to order
Most items sold on this site are handmade to order. Because each piece is made specifically for you, please read this policy carefully before ordering.
Payment
Full payment is required with order and before work begins on any made-to-order piece.
Right of withdrawal (cooling-off period)
Under EU consumer law, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal after ordering. However, this right does not apply once a custom or personalised item has begun production. Once your order is placed, we will send you an email confirming that work is starting — this may include ordering special timbers or hardware for your piece. From that point, the order can no longer be cancelled, exchanged, or refunded, in accordance with the legal exception for made-to-measure/personalised goods.
If you wish to withdraw before receiving that confirmation email, contact us via the email on our Contact page as soon as possible to request a full refund.
Customised items — no exchange or refund
Any item made or customised to your specification (dimensions, materials, finish, engraving, etc.) cannot be exchanged or refunded once work has begun, except in the case of a manufacturing fault or damage in transit (see below).
Damaged in transit
Every piece is handmade using hand tools and checked before it leaves the workshop. In the unlikely event your piece arrives damaged in transit, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item and packaging, and we will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate. This does not affect your statutory rights regarding faulty goods.
Shipping
- We ship to France, most EU countries, the UK, and a limited number of other countries — contact us before ordering if you’re unsure whether we ship to you.
- Shipping cost is charged at cost, plus a packaging fee of approximately €1.50.
- Exact shipping cost depends on the size, weight, and destination of your piece, and will be confirmed before payment.
- Given the handmade nature of each piece, lead times vary — estimated production and shipping time will be given at the time of order.
Risk and ownership
Risk in the item passes to you on delivery. Ownership passes once payment has been received in full.
Your rights
